Bhutanese Nepali Evangelical Church of Harrisburg

The Bhutanese Nepali Evangelical Church of Harrisburg offers need-based scholarships to students pursuing an associate’s or bachelor’s degree during the upcoming academic year. The size of the scholarships will be based on the number of successful applicants. Applicants must be from the Nepali-speaking community of greater Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Applicants must complete a financial need questionnaire and participate in an interview process for determining financial need. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or a cumulative grade of 75% for institutions not using GPA) at their current institution at the end of the 2023-2024 academic year and must submit an official transcript showing grades for courses completed through June 30, 2024.

Application deadline: July 15, 2024.

Successful applicants will be selected by a panel of at least three people led by the Education Coordinator of the Bhutanese Nepali Evangelical Church of Harrisburg. Successful applicants will be notified in writing by August 1, 2024 and will be provided with a mentor who is a college graduate. Funds will be disbursed directly to the college or university. Successful applicants are permitted to reapply in subsequent years if the above criteria are satisfied at that time.
